We Know What The Mysterious New Purple Coopers Is

We are excited about this purple brew.

Coopers Brewery is adding an Extra Pale Ale (XPA) to its portfolio of naturally conditioned beers.

The new Coopers XPA is being launched today at the Great Australasian Beer Spectacular (GABS) event in Melbourne, where it will available to the public for the first time.

The new XPA sits somewhere between an American Pale Ale and India Pale Ale. With a focus on highlighting the citrus character of the American hops and balancing it with their malt. It’s created a smooth and drinkable hoppy beer.

Coopers Marketing and Innovation Director, Mr Cam Pearce, said that immediately after its launch, Coopers XPA kegs will be rolled out to hotels across Australia.

“The brewers have chosen combination of Simcoe and Lemondrop hops which provide bright citrus undertones with aromas of grapefruit, lemon and a hint of mandarin,” he says.

Keep an eye out for the new Coopers XPA. More info here.
