Travellers itching to return to the international skies during their summer holidays after years of global lockdowns will have an even greater opportunity to do so from the 22nd of January 2023, as Qatar Airways return to daily flights from Adelaide Airport.
Adelaide Airport’s Head of Aviation Business Development, Jonathon Cheong, yesterday confirmed that the Doha-based Middle Eastern airline would increase its capacity from five flights a week to seven, stating that “the additional 2 flights would mean Qatar Airways will be operating pre-pandemic frequencies (daily flights) from Jan-23″.
With the airline servicing Auckland, traversing the Tasman has never been easier. For those hankering for a longer haul, you can glide to Qatar’s capital situated on the Persian Gulf in style on the Qatari carrier’s Boeing 777s. From there, you can either use Doha as a launch pad to Europe, or maybe settle in for a Middle Eastern sojourn.
For those looking for some sky-high luxury, Qatar’s QSuites are the world’s best business class suites, according to Executive Traveller.
Is your seat neighbour munching a little loudly on the in-flight peanuts? No problem, just slide down the suite’s privacy door. Couples on romantic getaways can even utilise the paired middle suites, which converts into a double bed.
Even better, with Qatar, you no longer need to time your naps according to the in-flight food schedule: you can dine-on-demand. It’s the UberEats of the air.
With over 150 global destinations to choose from, including European hot-spots like Paris, Barcelona, Munich, Athens and Mykonos, it might take you until January to narrow down your wish list.
If you can’t wait until then and want to escape our erratic Spring weather for somewhere consistently warmer, you can check out flights here.
