Raising Our Glass To The Face Behind The New Look Swire & Noble Moscato

Swire & Noble have a fabulous new look moscato and we spoke to the beautiful face behind their campaign, Lauren Frensham, to get an insight into how she is more than ‘just a pretty face’.

South Australian premium wine brand Swire & Noble have released their new look moscato, with a new bottle and a revamped label designed by Adelaide’s own fashion designer extraordinaire, Paolo Sebastian. Hot on the heels of winning Parker Points for their Swire Valley and Finniss River wines plus a Bronze Medal for the moscato at the International Wine Challenge 2015 in London, this is one winery to watch!

A behind-the-scenes sneak peek of the new campaign shoot for the moscato

Last week Swire & Noble shot the campaign for the new moscato and it featured local model, Lauren Frensham. You may have seen her around before, but rather than living the life of a model that people assume, you know, the swanning about in gowns, getting their hair and make up done and posing for photos… Lauren is so much more than that and Glam Adelaide spoke to her about why!

We’ve heard you have a PhD? Wow that’s pretty impressive. What exactly are you studying?

I have a Bachelor of Psychology Honours and I am completing my PhD in Health Science. My PhD dissertation involves a program designed to improve physical activity and nutrition among cancer survivors living in metropolitan and rural South Australia. I am passionate about improving health outcomes and quality of life amongst at risk populations.

So how many years does a PhD take?

After an undergraduate degree of 4 years, a PhD usually takes around 4 years.

Outside of modelling, what other work are you involved with?

I am very fortunate to be working at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). I primarily work in the area of cancer research and prevention with a focus on population health. Working in cancer research and population health has been my dream job since childhood. I feel incredibly privileged to be able to work in an innovative, fast paced and dynamic industry which will allow me to travel and work around the world. I feel through my job I can truly give back to the community in a personal and meaningful way. I also spend time tutoring and mentoring undergraduate psychology students which I greatly enjoy.

The most important lesson that life has taught you is…?

That kindness and determination gets you everywhere.

What made you want to work with Swire & Noble on this campaign?

It was a great opportunity to work with an amazing product which has developed a reputation locally and internationally. The Swire & Noble team are so fun and effervescent, and are an absolute blast to work with!

For all the Instagram users out there, do you have any tips on great Adelaide locations for fashion shoots?

I love exploring Adelaide and its beautiful and natural surrounds. There are so many wonderful places to visit which would be perfect for photoshoots from the Botanic Gardens to the scenic wineries of Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale which provide a constantly changing backdrop. There are plenty of funky urban bars and street art laneways sprayed with artistic talent. We are incredibly spoilt for choice in the city so you cannot go wrong wherever you go!

What is your favourite Swire & Noble wine?

Moscato of course! I love its sweet flavours of peach, orange blossom and nectarine. I love pairing it with a cheese platter and enjoying it with my friends.

What do you think of Paolo Sebastian’s new Nightingale collection?

It’s elegant, enchanting and breathtakingly beautiful. It was an honour to wear one of his exquisite gowns. It’s great to see an Adelaide designer doing so well.

You can sample and purchase the Swire and Noble moscato at the Best Day Ever Wedding Fair this weekend, Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July at the Adelaide Convention Centre. For a special $15 a bottle, experience the award winning (and very good looking) moscato!
