Selectors have made one change to the West End Redbacks squad for Saturday night’s KFC Twenty20 Big Bash grand final against the RTA SpeedBlitz Blues at Adelaide Oval.
James Smith comes into the 13-man squad, replacing Callum Ferguson, who is currently on national duty with the Australian one-day squad.
The Redbacks host the final at Adelaide Oval after finishing on top of the competition with five wins from six matches.
Daniel Harris has been a force at the top of the order, scoring 256 runs at an average of 51.20, the second most in the competition behind Blues batsman David Warner. Harris’ opening partner, Michael Klinger, has also been amongst the runs, scoring 138 runs at 27.60 average.
The Redbacks spin bowling trio have been a standout in the competition with Nathan Lyon (9 wickets), Adil Rashid (9) and Aaron O’Brien (7) taking 25 of the Redbacks 47 wickets during the Big Bash.
