Adelaide United FC has not offered midfielder Paul Reid a new contract to be part of the Reds’ squad for the Hyundai A-League 2011/12 Season after he initially rejected the club’s first offer.

The 31 year olds current contract is set to expire at the end of this month meaning Reid has played his last game for the club.

Since first signing with Adelaide United from English club Brighton & Hove Albion back in July 2008, Reid has made a total of 70 appearances for the club in all competitions, comprising of the Hyundai A-League, United’s AFC Champions League campaigns in 2008 and 2010, plus all three of the Reds’ encounters in the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.

After an injury disrupted 2009/10 Hyundai A-League season, Reid played 30 games and scored two goals in 2010/11 to help the Reds finish third on the table at the end of the minor round.
