Redsalt Restaurant Reveals New Winter Menu

Redsalt Restaurant at Crowne Plaza Adelaide has launched a new seasonal menu which is guaranteed to ‘warm the soul’ during Adelaide’s chilly winter.

Redsalt Restaurant’s internationally-renowned Executive Chef Bradd Johns says the menu offers classic winter dishes with a modern twist.

“The new menu contains lots of deep, earthy flavours with a focus on winter comfort food to warm the soul, such as Richard Gunner’s South Australian Beef short ribs, or Salty’s fantastic local squid which we use in our Salt and Pepper Calamari,” says Bradd. 

Salt and pepper calamari is always a favourite and the dish served at Redsalt Restaurant certainly lives up to expectations.

The squid is tender and juicy and is sure to become well-known as some of the best in Adelaide.

Bradd says that he wanted to create hearty winter meals in good sized portions and he has definitely achieved this. 

“The menu features delicious winter dishes with loads of flavour, such as Beef Bourguignon and Cassoulet,” says Brad.

Don't expect to leave the restaurant feeling hungry especially if you have the beef short rib bourginion with horseradish mash, pearl onion, mushroom and pancetta.

Even if you want to stop eating, you won't be able to, the meat falls off the bone and the mash tastes far too good to be good for you.

“I’ve taken great delight in creating the new menu, Winter is my favourite culinary season,” says Brad.

If you can fit it all in, it's definitely worth leaving room for the range of desserts Redsalt Restaurant has on offer.

The home-made donuts with hokey pokey ice-cream are not only delightful to look at but delicious also.

Bradd was inspired to use the old fashioned style of ice-cream and eating the dish will remind you of summers at the beach as a child.

The food is modern Australian, with a hint of classical cuisine and an emphasis on flavours that are natural and uncomplicated.
