Refined culinary journey through Europe launches in the Clare Valley

The UPPside European Restaurant & Wine Bar is unveiling an elegant eight-course Clare Valley Experience that celebrates European cuisine with premium local produce.

Foodies have a fabulously delicious new reason to visit the Clare Valley this autumn, with an exciting European-inspired dining experience set to make its debut this April. The UPPside European Restaurant & Wine Bar is launching an elegant eight-course degustation that’s going to bring a slice of the continent to South Aussies, without ever leaving the state.

Starting Wednesday, April 15th, the new Clare Valley Experience invites diners to trek on a refined culinary journey celebrating flavour, technique and storytelling. Crafted by award-winning Chef Christian Uppill, the degustation showcases the very best of European cuisine made with the region’s exceptional local produce.

Located in the Clare Valley, the experience combines tradition with contemporary style. Each course captures the essence of a different European region, guiding guests on a tour of bright flavours, classic techniques and indulgent sweet finishes.

The menu features eight courses made with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Optional Clare Valley beverage pairings are also available, taking the experience to the next level with wines that perfectly complement each dish.

The degustation begins with The Awakening to start. This is a delicate introduction to spark the palate, then follows Garden Harvest, a celebration of seasonal terroir, Coastal Whisper, inspired by Europe’s shores, Old World Craft, honouring traditional techniques, Fire and Earth, rich with bold regional character, The Butcher’s Cut, a refined showcase of premium protein, a refreshing Pre-Dessert Interlude and a Sweet Finale designed to delight.

Priced at $140 per person, the experience will be available from Wednesday to Saturday, with seatings at 12pm and 6pm. Diners can also continue to enjoy The UPPside’s regular seasonal menu and takeaway offerings alongside the new degustation.

Owned and operated by Christian and Caity Uppill, The UPPside has earned international recognition, including accolades from the LUXlife International Travel and Tourism Awards and R&C Australia’s Best European Restaurant. The venue has also received the prestigious Snail of Approval from the Slow Food Movement, recognising its commitment to sustainable, ethical and locally sourced cuisine.
