Resolve Divorce shines as finalist in National Law Awards

Resolve Divorce, a prominent family law firm based in South Australia, has been recognized for its outstanding achievements in the legal field.

This week they were announced as finalists in three prestigious categories at the Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards 2023, making them the top contender among South Australian firms. The firm has been shortlisted for the titles of Boutique Firm of the Year, NewLaw Firm of the Year, and Dispute Resolution and/or Litigation Firm of the Year.

This remarkable feat is a testament to Resolve Divorce’s dedication to guiding families towards positive outcomes in their lives after separation. Founded with the vision of bringing equality, fairness, and justice to the realm of family law, the firm has made significant strides in transforming the traditional approach to divorce. Rose Cocchiaro, the Founding Partner of Resolve Divorce, explained her motivation behind starting the firm.

“After more than 10 years working in the traditional family law system, I was compelled to start a firm that brought more equality, fairness, and justice to the way people experienced separation. From a family of doctors, I understood their power to heal, and I wanted to create my own kind of care plan for separating people,” Cocchiaro said.

Inspired by her family’s healing mindset, Cocchiaro aimed to provide individuals undergoing separation with support and holistic advice to complement their legal journey. Today, Resolve Divorce stands as one of the largest family law firms in South Australia, positively impacting the lives of numerous families.

Passion for change fueled Cocchiaro to challenge the conservative heavyweights in the family law industry. Despite daily doubts, she built a solid network of supportive individuals who believed in her vision.

Resolve Divorce remains committed to effecting substantial transformation within the family law sector, continually expanding their network and seeking opportunities to connect and support like-minded individuals.

In line with their commitment to making a difference, Resolve Divorce has launched a pioneering initiative called Rise by Resolve. This networking and learning program is specifically designed to empower women in business on their journey to success.

By connecting ambitious women from diverse industries, Rise by Resolve aims to expand their professional reach, foster strong bonds, and enhance their personal brand.

Cocchiaro expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “This is the start of my legacy to the amazing, powerful women in this state. By uniting women, this initiative enables them to form their own inner circles of support, embrace vulnerability, and flourish in their unique spaces, ultimately rising together.”

Rise with Resolve was launched at an inaugural event featuring inspiring female speakers, including Magistrate Jayanthi Pandya and Former Minister for Child Protection Rachel Sanderson.

The event received overwhelming positive feedback, with attendees eager to connect and learn from one another. The initiative’s success reflects Cocchiaro’s commitment to giving back to the community and fostering positive relationships.

As a small business owner dedicated to sparking change in a traditional and perceived broken industry, Resolve Divorce embraces innovation and aims to constantly improve. Rise with Resolve serves as a platform for ambitious and industrious women in Adelaide to shine, aligning with the firm’s ethos of always striving to “do better.”

The inaugural event took place at the Lion Hotel and supported The Jodi Lee Foundation. The next event is scheduled for Thursday, 14 September 2023. Joining Rise with Resolve offers the opportunity to be part of a collective rise to the top and experience the transformative impact of this initiative.
