Restaurant Botanic have just released $990 tickets to one of its most exclusive dinners yet

Restaurant Botanic is hosting an exclusive $990 per person dinner, giving you a chance to try rare Dom Pérignon champagne.

Adelaide’s culinary scene is set to sparkle as Restaurant Botanic prepares to host one of its most exclusive dinners to date, a luxurious evening for just 24 fortunate guests, celebrating the timeless elegance of Dom Pérignon.

Tucked away in the heart of the Adelaide Botanic Garden, an evening of exceptional flavours, fine wine, and breathtaking beauty awaits. On Thursday, May 8th, the acclaimed Restaurant Botanic will be hosting this one-night-only celebration, giving guests the rare opportunity to try some of Dom Pérignon’s finest vintages.

“It’s our third year doing our Dom Pérignon dinner,” shared Restaurant Botanic sommelier, Elle Foster.

“The dinner features a really interesting lineup of different vinatges, we’ve got a couple of Plenitude 1 wines. Plenitude 1 is essentially their most known wines. They’re wines that have been aged for at least eight years before release.

“We’ve also got the Dom Pérignon 2004 Plenitude 2. What they do to create a Plenitude 2 is they’ll allow a small batch of a vintage to age even longer, so these can be in the cellars for up to fifteen years before they are released.”

This exclusive event will see Executive Chef Jamie Musgrave craft a seasonal menu that pays homage to both time-honoured techniques and bold, modern flavours. Each dish will be paired with five exceptional vintages, picked by Elle and her team, including the 2015 Dom Pérignon Vintage P1, the 2013 Vintage P1, and the richly expressive 2004 Vintage P2, aged over 15 years. Guests will also enjoy two rare Rosé expressions, the 2005 and the 2009, both striking for their intensity and finesse.

Guiding the tasting journey is Moët Hennessy Ambassador Dean O’Reilly, who will be telling the stories behind Dom Pérignon’s most coveted vintages. As a Moët Hennessy Ambassador, Dean has worked closely with Elle over the years, and Elle says it’s a pleasure to have Dean on board.

“Dom Pérignon is all about perfection,” said Elle.

“They only release wines in years they deem perfect. It’s only a vintage champagne, so if it’s not a great year, they won’t make any wine, and I think that striving for perfection is what makes them so interesting.”

While the wine and food are undoubtedly world-class, it’s the setting that elevates this experience to something truly extraordinary. It’s always great while you have the opportunity to take a stroll through the Botanic Gardens and see how the setting of the restaurant is a cut above the rest. Inside, enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding gardens and lake, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows. This connection to nature doesn’t just end at the view, as many of the ingredients on the plate may have been plucked from the garden you just wandered through.

“At Restaurant Botanic, I think we strive for the same ethos as Dom Pérignon; it’s a strive for perfection. We’re not interested in doing something half-assed. The chefs are very, very careful about their development process and make sure something only hits the menu if it’s perfect.

“We also work with the seasons and the land. If something’s out of season, we’re not forcing it onto the menu just because it’s a special thing. That can make it challenging, but the chefs we have are pretty amazing at doing that. It’s special to be a part of.”

Restaurant Botanic continues to push boundaries, and this upcoming dinner is no exception. Tickets to this event are $990 per person. Reserve your seat now and prepare to savour one of the most exclusive and elegant nights Adelaide has to offer.
