Electra House serves up revamped dance floor & cocktails

With a busy dance floor, all-new DJ line-up, revamped cocktail list, and delicious food options, Electra House is sure to be an epic night out.

Electra House is back in a big way.

Like many venues, the CBD spot closed during the COVID pandemic, but now they’re back with a pumping dance floor and updated cocktail list.

“Now that capacity is back at 75%, we’ve been able to move the DJ inside to the main room after 6 months outside,” says General Manager Chad Hanson.

“There’s such a vibe in here again.”

In addition to the vibey dance floor, which is accompanied by a brand-new DJ line-up, there’s also a new cocktail list. The list focuses on 16 of the “most popular cocktails over the last three decades” with a special, Electra House spin.

There’s a negroni––but with pineapple, a gin cocktail––fizzing with tangerine, a margarita––but with peppered pineapple, and a mojito––but with spunky lemongrass, and heaps more classics with fun twists.

“Our porn star martini is the number one best seller,” Hanson says.

And we can see why. With passionfruit, pineapple, vanilla bean, lime, Prosecco and Absolut, it sounds absolut-ely delicious.

The bar has also brought back their popular gin nights. Every Wednesday, all gins at the Electra House are just $10, which means the more upscale brands are selling for less than half price. With 10 different gin and tonic combinations, the gin night sounds like quite the deal.

Electra House also has a food offering, which is a cultivated mix of bistro and dining, with dishes spicy and salty, rich and fresh.

The revamped, more bistro-style menu includes baked chicken breast, pan-fried gnocchi, roast cauliflower steak, Steak Frites Angus Porterhouse, and more.

There’s also a more casual menu Electra Fried Chicken with green chilli mayo, Buffalo Wings with blue cheese aioli and celery, and Fried SA Baby Squid with spiced salt. The shared and sides menu options include grazing board and truffle parmesan chips.

With a busy dance floor, all-new DJ line-up, revamped cocktail list, and delicious food options, Electra House is sure to be an epic night out.

The venue is open Tuesday to Friday from 12pm until late, and Saturday from 4pm to 3am.
