Review: S.O.S Glenelg SLSC

special_patrol_600S.O.S – Sunset On Summer at the Glenelg SLSC, Sunday 28th March 3pm – 11pm.

What started out as a grey, humid and rainy day turned into a beautiful warm evening, perfect to be sitting on the balcony at the Glenelg SLSC overlooking the beach and listening to some of Adelaide’s best musicians. Jaya, Special Patrol, Chris Spiers and Minx performed to a sell out crowd during what turned out to be a great night.

Reasonably priced at $20 a ticket for pre-sales, the event proved popular and sold out days before the show. The first 100 people through the door even got a complimentary Jager!

Great young crowd, dressed to impress with a mix of surfer/glam/retro and even some punk. It made for some great fashion spotting. Especially notable was the popularity of boys in very low slung tight jeans and checked shirts! Girls looked great all round.

Good venue but at times hard to hear the music over the excited crowd, acoustics not the best in this bar for live music and maximum capacity crowd. My favourite was Special Patrol, sounding very polished and professional.

Overall a very relaxing and fun Sunday Session and we hope there are more to come.
