This means war is a romantic comedy due for release on Valentine’s Day, 2012. This light hearted romantic comedy sees FDR, played by Chris Pine, and Tuck, played by Tom Hardy, as two best friends and formidable CIA operatives pitted against each other to win the heart of Lauren, played by Reece Witherspoon, an unlucky in love, career woman. The two best friends find their relationship going from friend to foe, using CIA resources to outwit and out manoeuvre each other in the quest to win the girl.
The movie sees FDR treating Lauren to a series of slick, ritzy dates while Tuck opts for a more romantic fun dating style which ultimately leaves Lauren torn between two great guys. Lauren gives herself a deadline to choose between the two which sets the scene for some fast paced scrambling by the lads to prove he is the right one. Amongst the mayhem of the dating scene, an international criminal villain is secretly tracking down and plotting revenge over the death of his brother, killed by FDR and Tuck. Using all manner of under handed sneaky CIA resources and tricks, each man sets out to prove that he is the one for her.
This Means War is a light hearted romantic comedy providing good slap stick laughs, some macho gun play and all in all, a fun trip to the movies. This Means War has got a mix of action, albeit ever so slightly farfetched, comedy and romance.
It's got enough to keep the boys interested when taking their girls to the movies! If you liked watching Fools Gold or 50 First Dates, you'll enjoy This Means War.
