Ring in the New Year with this eight-course Japanese degustation

Ring in the New Year with an eight course degustation at Ginza Miyako.

2020 is the year we will all remember, and one we might want to forget.

If you’re like us and you’re wanting to celebrate its end, we have good news as we have found an eight-course degustation happening at Ginza Miyako on NYE (one night only).

Starting with sea urchin nigiri, you will taste the likes of duck, Hokkaido sea scallop, bluefin tuna confit and wagyu beef.

Not to mention these incredible meals are paired with sides such as celeriac and truffle puree, miso duck consomme, oyster emulsion and umeboshi bearnaise.

To finish this decadent degustation, you will be treated to two courses of dessert. Yep, two courses of the sweetest of offerings.

Up first is a Choya jelly with mango ice cream, followed by a traditional Houjicha (green tea) with pear and a white chocolate cake.

If eight courses seems a little excessive, you can opt for a five course degustation instead. Notable menu items include crispy skin mulloway and bluefin tuna.

The eight-course degustation is priced at $135 per person, and the five-course is $100 per person.

Find Ginza Miyako at the Stamford Plaza Hotel, 150 North Terrace, Adelaide.
