Great news for people wanting to visit the Riverland while the weather is still warm, Riverbend Caravan Park Renmark was cleared to reopen today amid the devastating floods and will begin welcoming guests very soon.
The continual hard work of Park Staff and Civil Contractors alongside the continual support from Engineers has paid off with the levee holding and protecting the popular Renmark destination from the floods.
The popular Riverbend Caravan Park in Renmark did not flood and is looking forward to welcoming guests back soon.
Edwards Group CEO, and owner of the Riverbend Caravan Park, Mr Stephen Edwards, said
that pre-planning would allow them to quickly return the Park to how guests knew and
loved it.
“The Park will need to remain closed for a little while longer while we undertake some
remediation works,” Mr Edwards said.
“The heavy machinery used to protect the Park has impacted the grounds but now that
the Park has been cleared to open, we can get contractors in to help us repair them,” he said.
The Park was closed as a precaution, in early December, in the best interest of guests after
a routine inspection of the levee was conducted by both the Park and authorities.
In recent weeks, loyal guests have been asking about when they can holiday next at
Riverbend Caravan Park, Renmark.
The Park is taking new bookings from April but are hoping to open earlier.
“We’re just as keen to have our guests back as they are to holiday at Riverbend, and
we won’t delay re-opening the Park any longer than we need to,” Mr Edwards said.
“Many of the Park’s guests have shared their support throughout the closure, and we have
really apricated their patience and understanding,” he said.
Holidayers are now being encouraged to contact the Park and book their holidays for
April onwards.
Any existing guest bookings impacted by the remediation works will be contacted by the
Park as soon as possible.
