The event of the year for Riverland caravanners, cabin dwellers & campers is here again! This ultimate outdoor fire pit experience in South Australia has quickly gained recognition as a favourite event for winter with demand outweighing availability, but there are a few sites left!
Event founders, Catherine and Brett Hein, said experiential foodies should dust off the camp oven & get ready to head to one of SA’s most scenic riverfront holiday parks for the Riverland Camp Oven Festival 2022 – before it’s booked out.
“If you’re interested in learning the tradition of Camp Oven cooking and want to have a crack or are a self-proclaimed expert, the Camp Oven Cook Off is for you,” Catherine and Brett said.
“The event runs over two-days for guests of the Riverbend Caravan Park, Remark and is full of Food, Drinks, Music & good company.”
Hosted from July 15th – 16th, guests can settle in before enjoying the evening Camp Oven Cooking Workshop over light nibbles and a chance to talk with the workshop experts, other Camp Oven entrants, guests & festival team members (including the NEW Park Managers & next year’s event organisers, Leanne & Craig).
Then, on Day 2, It’s time for the Camp Oven Cook Off.
The Rotary Club will be there to fill any brunch or dinner hunger, while a DJ will play some tunes as you quench the thirst of day long cooking with Pop Up Bars serving local craft beers & signature cocktails.
Although just being a part of the Riverland Camp Oven Festival is a remarkable experience on its own, entrants can choose to compete for BEST Damper, Main and Dessert with 1st placements sharing in a prize pool of over $3000 & growing thanks to the support of local Riverland and SA businesses.
