With the Adelaide Cup Long Weekend kicking off tonight, there is plenty of things to do around SA. Musically speaking, all bases are also covered, with WOMADelaide, Future Music Festival & Heaven’s RnB Weekend.
For those who like to pack all their fun into one night, rather than opting for the festival vibe, the newly reopened Heaven nightclub on Pultney Street, is hosting a great Sunday night option.
Following their regular line up of talented Australian and International DJs each weekend, Heaven will be showcasing some incredible RnB talent this Sunday, including Decker, DJ Sok, DJ Chetti and leading video turntabalist DJ Krisp, just to name a few.
Dj Krisp has an ever-expanding loyal clan of followers, earning him residency at some of Australia’s most notable Dance and R&B nightclubs. His name draws clubbers from across the spectrum and his adaptability to both venue and crowd makes him a true industry professional. Testament to this is the earth-shattering set he played at the South Australian official launch for Ed Hardy and aussieBum; two globally renown fashion labels.
The most humble silent achiever, his reputation has preceded him for years. Today, DJ Krisp shares a well earned place alongside some of Adelaide’s greatest DJs. He’s had a consecutive 4 year run on the nationally acclaimed Auto Salon Tour as the official Custom Car DJ as well as numerous DMA nominations for SA R&B DJ of the Year.
DJ Krisp blends yesterday’s hits with tomorrow’s chart toppers and creates his own video remixes.
The event will also feature MC Jimblah, winner of the Hilltop Hoods Initiative that helps young and emerging South Australian hip-hop artists to manufacture and distribute a CD. Jimblah has performed all over the country at various festivals
and shows including The Big day Out, The Dreaming and Good vibes, to name a few.
Local act Thee Immaculate, who have opened for a range of well known performers including Chingy, Tila Tequila, Montel Jorden, Jessica Mauboy and Nas, will also be live on the night.
