Robe’s main street has a brand new beer and wine offering

Robe has welcomed Loophole Bottle Shop, a cellar door/bar/bottle shop, opened by Loophole Brewing Co and the Caledonian Inn.

Loophole Bottle Shop is Robe’s brand new shiny toy, having officially opened on the October long weekend.

Sitting next to the Caledonian Inn, the Loophole Bottle Shop is Loophole Brewing Co‘s latest project.

This isn’t your run of the mill bottle shop, Loophole Bottle Shop is also a bar, and will be pouring the brewery’s specialty beers.

The bottle shop is slinging a range of Loophole Brewery beers and Cape Jaffa Wines.

The beers pouring will be both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

You’ll also get to try a range of Loophole’s beer/wine sours, made with wine yeast.

The collaboration between the Caledonian Inn and Loophole Brewery stemmed from owner Derek Hooper’s idea to create a place for people to grab a beer and enjoy the sunshine in Robe.

The bottle shop has outdoor seating, as well as a few stools up along the bar.

The cellar door/bar/bottle shop will be the first for the town of Robe, and Derek hopes people use it as a stepping stone for other venues in the tight-knit seaside community.

“People can come in and we can direct them to other places in town, it will be somewhat of a guide for where people can go and eat around town,” Derek explains.

Future plans will see Loophole Bottle Shop offer small goods sourced from local producers.
