There’s no better time than the April long weekend to head to Adelaide’s biggest Good Friday party which is bookmarked to be ‘the social event of the year’.
The Good Friday Garden Party, which features major headliners Basement Jaxx (Dj set) and Roger Sanchez, is set up to be the perfect garden oasis meets mini festival.
Think great music, A-grade sound production, a variety of amazing food trucks and pop-up bars and a dance floor with your name on it. All within the confines of a lush garden area.
Located between the city and the bay, the eight-hour event will be held at Flourish, a unique and lavish space at Morphettville Racecourse.
It’s been home to other major events like Dimitri from Paris, the New Year’s Eve White Party and was the place to be on Adelaide Cup Day.
This time, it will be two music heavy weights on the decks.
Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton, collectively known as Basement Jaxx, are the legendary BRIT award winning duo who will be bringing with them an all-out sensory assault of dance floor classics.
They started out life as underground producers and party promoters in 1995, putting out their first tracks on shrink wrapped vinyl and throwing hush-hush raves in abandoned South London pizza joints. Widely respected as one of the world’s most legendary house duos, Basement Jaxx have been global crowd favourites for over 20 years.
It was later announced that house music legend Roger Sanchez would be joining Basement Jaxx at the Good Friday Garden Party, after an overwhelmingly popular response to the event.
Roger Sanchez started in New York City, diggin’ in dusty crates of old vinyl and spinning at house parties to soon dominating huge dance floors and headlining festival main-stages in every corner of the globe.
His Release Yourself online radio show attracts over 10 million listeners around the world.
Both music headliners are popular and will have you dancing from afternoon to dark, as proven with the first, second and third release tickets which have sold out. Final release and VIP packages are still left, but are selling quickly.
A VIP ticket includes dedicated private bars, food designed by Morphettville’s Executive Chef Steven Clark and includes entry to the event and afterparty. You can also gather your friends and book a limited VIP Booth which includes free entry and a five-hour drinks and food package (minimum 6 people).
