Rogue Traders and Bird of Tokyo to headline regional SA music festivals

This October, the Cleve Harvest Music Fest and Rock the Ranges music festival will be kicking off, each with epic Australian line-ups.

Regional South Australia holds endless beauty and wonder that many travel far and wide to witness. Regional travel continues to explode and produce record-breaking results, with South Australia celebrating its best July regional occupancy on record.

Why? Partly because of COVID-19, and partly because South Australia is just a dang good place to be. South Aussies also do what they can to support local communities, local businesses, and explore their own backyard.

If you’re looking for a reason to explore the regions, two HUGE music festivals are kicking off this Spring that are worth talking about.

Live music promoter, Revive the Regions with Music, is hosting two music festivals this season, attracting some big names to the Eyre Peninsula and Flinders Ranges.

First of all, the incomparable electronic rock band, Rogue Traders, will be headlining the Ramsey Bros Cleve Harvest Music Fest this October. Led by Aussie icon, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, the band is nationally recognised for mid-2000s hits like “Voodoo Child” and “Watching You”.

Expect a big day of tunes from 11:30am to 7:30pm, with an on-site licensed bar, a variety of food trucks, free on-site camping, and even a recovery breakfast served at the campgrounds the next morning. On-site camping is also free for all festival ticket holders.

The Cleve Harvest line-up also includes The Filthy Animals, Rachael Beck, Basket Cade (Green Day Tribute), Owen Campbell, Beinke Bros, and Jodi Martin.

There’s also a free shuttle bus that will run every 15 minutes from 11am to 2:30pm, making trips to the festival super easy and convenient for the whole family.

The Flinders Ranges’ Rock the Ranges music festival will also be electrifying the regions this October, with Birds of Tokyo headlining the show.

Birds of Tokyo first rocketed to national stardom when “Plans” was performed and nominated for “Single of the Year” at the 2010 ARIA Awards. “Plans” was followed closely behind Birds of Tokyo’s hugely successful 2013 single “Lanterns”, which was the band’s first single to hit the top 10 in Australia.

The Black Sorrows, Hussy Hicks, Funky Monks (Australia’s original Red Hot Chilli Peppers Show), and Andy Seymour + The Rockits, Blues Brothers Re-Booted, and Jo Page will also be performing at Rock the Ranges on 22-21 October.

On-site camping and bus transfers are also available and free for ticket holders.
