Adelaide fashion lovers and VIPs were invited to view the latest Autumn/Winter trends at the Rundle Mall Fashion Parades on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 March under the Gawler Place Canopy.
The evening opened with the TAFE SA ‘Project Rundle’ competition, parading the top three winning outfits from students; Patricio Banados 3rd place, Antonia Schep 2nd place, and Kate Aikins taking out 1st prize. Each student received gift vouchers from Spotlight or Myer.
Tanya Powell models were dressed to impress, showcasing the latest fashions from David Jones, Kookai, Country Road, Rodger David, Forever New, Sportscraft, Peter Shearer, Cue, Veronika Maine, The Suit Co., Review, Events, Whistles, Shirt Domain, Eliza French and Showies Boutique, featuring Raw Pearls.
The parades revealed that this season we can expect women’s wear to have interesting detailing with faux fur, leather, loose knits, subtle animal prints, and muted military and flesh colour tones.
To fill our Winter wardrobe this year, look for the camel, beige and black basics which can easily be stepped up a notch with a statement colour in red, mauve or deep blue; the splash colours of the season! Team your new Winter looks with a pair of black tights and ankle boots to keep it feminine and sexy!
The men’s wear kept it classic, but with a modern flair. For a dressy look with a difference, team a classic slim cut suit with a bright shirt in a fun print, keeping it interesting with a hat. For a more casual look, mix a pair of tailored pants with a simple shirt and colour knit jumper.
The event was compared by Lisa McCaskill, styled by Rundle Mall Stylist Tamara Nicole, make up by Inglot, hair by Blow, It’s a Hair Thing, and models from Tanya Powell Modelling Agency.
