From an impressive list of local entrants, 12 of South Australia’s pubs will have the ultimate cook-off in Rundle Mall tomorrow, pitting the best pub burgers in SA against each other for the prestigious title of ‘SA’s Best Pub Burger 2021’.
The challenge is in its 10th year and forms an official part of the Tasing Australia Winter Series, which began earlier this week.
Taking place under the Gawler Place canopy in Rundle Mall, burger-lovers are invited to come and watch the live final, with all the action unfolding in front of an expert judging panel.
Three of the 12 finalists will compete in four cooking rounds taking place from 1 – 3pm tomorrow afternoon.

The tense competition will come to a climax at 1:15, when the ultimate burger champion will be crowned, having been judged against an extensive list of criteria, including presentation, ingredients taste, meat content and value for money.
Pen & Palate’s Chris Stephan, FIVEaa’s Tim Genever and Shane Wood from Thomas Foods Australia will make up the esteemed judging panel putting the pub burgers through their paces to crown the ultimate reigning supreme dish in front of a live audience.
