Rundle Mall To Be Decked Out With Pop Up Bars, Blowdry Station, Sales & More For AFF17

It will be two days packed with meet and greets, in store events, special offers and discounts, prizes, giveaways and entertainment in stores throughout Rundle Mall and Rundle Street stores, as well as pop-ups on the Mall itself.

In a first for South Australia, Adelaide’s premier shopping precinct is preparing to welcome Vogue Festival to Rundle Mall.

Rundle Mall continues to represent a unique and important place for all South Australians, but never before has it seen an event the likes of Vogue Festival. With the official guide to the festival featured as part of the Adelaide Fashion Festival program in the September issue of Vogue Australia out this week, Rundle Mall Management Authority (RMMA) General Manager, Amanda Grocock says this is coup for retail in Adelaide.

“Rundle Mall’s retail community is very excited to celebrate Adelaide’s own Vogue Festival, which can only mean great entertainment and shopping experiences for our customers,” she said.

Vogue Festival is presented by Vogue Australia, Rundle Mall, Adelaide Fashion Festival presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide and in collaboration with the City of Adelaide.

The Festival provides an unparalleled opportunity for the retail community in the heart and hub of our City with the chance to partner with one of the most recognised fashion agenda setters, and bible of fashion, Vogue Australia.

Forming part of the Adelaide Fashion Festival (AFF) calendar sees Vogue Festival and retail recognised as an important part of South Australia’s leading fashion event, with a wide range of special offers for shoppers and visitors to the Mall and Rundle Street. It will be two days packed with meet and greets, in store events, special offers and discounts, prizes, giveaways and entertainment in stores throughout Rundle Mall and Rundle Street stores, as well as pop-ups on the Mall itself.

“We’ve seen what Vogue’s unique events have done around the globe and in other Australian cities, so it’s extremely positive and exciting for Adelaide to host its own event. This is a fantastic event for retailers with opportunities for everyone to get involved,” said Haigh’s Chocolates Fiona Krawczyk. “We’ve been inspired by the pink neon theme to create a limited number of our Haigh’s Chocolates Super Frogs, foiled in pink, which will be available to win during the festival.”

Vogue Australia editor-in-chief, Edwina McCann, together with Adelaide Lord Mayor Martin Haese and the face of Myer, Jennifer Hawkins, will officially launch the festival under the Gawler Place Canopy on Friday 13 October, from 12pm. On Friday 13 October and Saturday 14 October, Adelaide will then play host to an exciting array of festival events, including styled runways, exciting activations and VIP shopping promotions, plus there will be amazing prizes to be won. This is alongside the full program of events for AFF, which runs from October 11-15.

Vogue Australia Editor-in-Chief Edwina McCann, said “we are excited to be hosting Vogue Festival, our first major shopping event exclusive to South Australia, as part of the Adelaide Fashion Festival. With pop-up events, special offers, runway shows and live music Vogue Festival is a wonderful opportunity to explore Adelaide’s premier shopping precinct as the CBD comes to life. I look forward to seeing everyone there.”

All discounts and special offers from all retailers in Rundle Mall and Rundle Street will be released on Wednesday 11 October. See the full list of exclusive offers only for Vogue Festival here.
