Year of the Dragon is here and Adelaideans are gearing up for some fantastic Lunar New Year celebrations. And if you’re looking to lock one in that ticks all the boxes, all you need to do is head on into Rundle Place.
Situated at the heart of the city’s bustling Rundle Mall, one of Adelaide’s premier shopping centres is set to be a focal point of festivities, with traditional performances, delicious cuisine, and auspicious surprises.
“We look forward to joining in on Rundle Mall’s Lunar New Year celebrations and encourage shoppers and city visitors to visit our international food court for a holiday feast that even the most discerning tastebuds will enjoy,” Rundle Place Centre Manager Mandy Beresford says.
It’s no surprise that this year Rundle Place is ramping up the festivities, as the cherished Chinese holiday, which is observed worldwide, continues to gain momentum in Adelaide thanks to the growing community of Chinese expats and students.
To help mark the occasion, Rundle Place is hosting two of Rundle Mall’s six mesmorising traditional lion dances at 3pm, near Lululemon and R.M. Williams, and 4pm, near L’Occitane, on Friday 16 February.
City visitors can watch the spectacular performances outside the centre’s Rundle Mall entry as the lions cause mischief and mayhem in their search for lucky lettuce, and have the chance to snag a coveted red envelope, with 30 vouchers for Rundle Place up for grabs.
L‘Occitane are also offering Rundle Place shoppers nearly 20% off its limited edition Lucky 8 Hand Cream Collection gift box for Lunar New Year – that’s $45 well spent!
And what’s a Lunar New Year celebration without indulging in delicious food with your family and friends?
