Autumn Winter fashion for 2017 has been officially launched at Rundle Place, and we’ve sourced the hottest style tips and must have items to get you through the season.
This Autumn/Winter it’s all about the coats.
Chris Kontos, Creative Director, Adelaide Fashion Festival, says his key piece is the statement coat.
This season we’ll see more relaxed tailoring and some beautiful fabrics and textures – wool is a personal favourite for Chris.
Cimon Vozzo, Rundle Place Stylist, will be opting for a leather jacket as her statement piece, with stitching or embroidery detailing to complete the look.
An additional statement outerwear option is the Black Velvet Blazer – Rundle Place Stylist Kylie Crabtree suggests velvet can be worn smart casual with denim, or paired with your favourite little black dress for everlasting chic style.
For the men – a staple ‘desk to drinks’ blazer is a must have wardrobe item, according to Paul Vasileff, Designer, Paolo Sebastian.
Marketing Manager of Rundle Place, Koula Di Biase, has labelled her top 2017 trend as metallic, from sequins to embellishments, and awesome gold and silver shoes – metallic touches will add an element of glam to your wardrobe.
Layering is going long this season – and Rundle Place stylist Kate Bowden’s hot tip, is not to be afraid of long layers.
Pairing long skirts with a long knit and coats will be big. A great wardrobe staple for layering is a Silk Dress, both versatile to go underneath a coat, or over a knit, and super comfortable!
To ensure you always look on trend- go with key winter hues of emerald green, plum, dusty pink, marle grey, gold, rich navy and the everlasting black!
