SA bakery takes out best meat pie in Australia

The multi-award-winning Adelaide Hills bakery has wowed the judges at this year’s National Pie and Pasty competition in Sydney.

The secret is out – cult favourite Banana Boogie Bakery has done it again, putting SA on the map with their baked delicacies.

The multi-award-winning Adelaide Hills bakery has wowed the judges at this year’s National Pie and Pasty competition in Sydney. Sweeping the contest across three categories, the local favourites secured top billing from The Baking Association of Australia in the Plain Mince Pie Category.

The judges also awarded the Belair bakery with a first in the Apprentice Meat Pie Category and a gold medal for Best Gourmet Pastie for their Butter Chicken Pastie.

The winners took to Instagram to share their joy at receiving the prestigious award from the industry body in an event which took place across three days in Sydney, with the official presentation being held on National Pie Day.

“The Boogie bakers need to take a bow with how well they have been featuring in national competitions all over Australia lately,” they posted, “We don’t enter these competitions to glorify ourselves but to prove to our customers that every day we strive to make the absolute most perfect products we possibly can.”

This isn’t the first time the bakery has been in the news for its baked goods – they have also won awards for their vanilla slices and hot-cross buns, which were named the best in Australia in March.

To celebrate their victory, until June 18th, the bakery is sharing the winning feeling with their loyal customers by offering a four-pack of their award-winning pies or pasties for just $20, hot or cold.

With an offer like that, you batter get yourself to Banana Boogie Bakery Monday to Saturday, 7 am until 4 pm, before everyone knows where to get the best baked goods in SA.

Visit them at Shop 4, 10 Main Road, Belair. For more information click here.
