SA border with NSW to open as early as next week

South Australia’s border with New South Wales may lift next Tuesday, or next Friday.

South Australia’s border with New South Wales could open as early as next week, according to Premier Steven Marshall.

The Premier stated it is believed ten days have passed without a “worrying, locally acquired infection” in NSW.

If this continues, the Premier said the border with NSW may be lifted next Friday, or as early as next Tuesday.

The Premier confirmed no changes will be made to SA’s border with Victoria, given the current COVID-19 situation.

Police Commissioner Grant Stevens stated seated consumption of alcohol in venues will remain, and the major schoolies event will not be occurring in SA.

More to come.
