South Australian beers are making waves in the brewing industry but none more so than local legends, Big Shed Brewing. What began with two guys brewing beer in their back shed has turned into one of Australia’s most established brewing companies and is being recognised as such.
Big Shed Brewing has been crowned as South Australia’s favourite Brewery Venue in the 2022 Craft Beer Survey by Beer Cartel Australia.
Big Shed Brewing was started by the Harris and Basford families 10 years ago in an industrial estate in Royal Park. In that time, it has grown from a 2 person operation to a local institution, employing over 50 people.
No strangers to an award, Big Shed Brewing have previously earned the top spot at the Adelaide Beer and Cider Awards and the Craft Beer Industry Association Awards.
With 11 core beers and a collection of limited editions in its repertoire, Big Shed Brewing is going from strength to strength with more to come in the near future.
Created by Beer Cartel, the 2022 Australian Craft Beer Survey is a study undertaken with Australian craft beer drinkers. Being its sixth year, the study has been run with the survey conducted from July to September 2022.
This study also showed that over 14,000 Australian craft beer drinkers have revealed a significant change in consumption habits with a big increase in alcohol-free beer consumption.
Big Shed Brewing is open seven days a week for delivery and takeaway, head into the popular venue for a bite to eat of their tasty cuisine or unwind and sip on their award-winning brews.
