Mumamoo, an Australian infant formula company run by women, just bagged the Accelerating Women category at the Telstra Best of Business Awards in Sydney.
This award highlights mumamoo’s dedication to giving parents the power to choose what’s best for their babies, marking a significant nod to their efforts since their start in 2021.
The Telstra Awards are all about shining a spotlight on the standout small and medium businesses across Australia, and mumamoo’s win is a big thumbs-up to their mission.
“Winning this category affirms the work we are doing to create meaningful change as we advocate for the rights of parents to make informed choices that support the many paths to a well-fed baby,” says New Business Director, Belinda Humphris.
Part of what they do includes giving back, with a slice of their online sales going to PANDA (Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia), showing they’re about more than just profit.
“We’re a company run by women, for women. We understand firsthand how our customer is feeling and hope to drive important conversations that aim to reduce the stigma and shame associated with formula feeding, leading to a more empowered parenting journey,” says Belinda.
With over 22,000 businesses fighting for a win across seven categories, making it through the tough judging process to the national pitch event is no small feat.
“It’s a huge honour to be recognised alongside businesses that actively challenged exclusion and inequality to create meaningful and lasting equity for women in 2024 and we wish to thank Telstra for championing this cause,” Belinda added.
Mumamoo’s products are up for grabs online and at big-name stores like Chemist Warehouse, as well as various pharmacies and independent shops across South Australia and Victoria, putting them in a strong position to keep growing and supporting Australian parents.
