Nicola Spurrier has addressed the South Australian public today to discuss the current border closures to Victoria.
The decision has now been made to extend the hard boarder to the whole of regional Victoria.
Spurrier said although they have considered the way border closures affect border communities disproportionality, this decision supports the stay at home order that Victoria has put on all its citizens both in Metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
This new information comes after the recent hard border closure as well as an update yesterday on South Australia’s current COVID situation and news of the Victorian 7 day circuit breaker.
Speaking on the pressure on SA’s testing systems, the Victoria Park testing site is now opened 24/7 to reduce waiting times and keep up with demand.
