Following an Easter weekend that with little to no fanfare due to strict COVID-19 restrictions, SA Health and chief medical officer, Professor Nicola Spurrier have given the go ahead for Mother’s Day celebrations.

Highlighting South Australian’s common sense regarding social distancing thus far, Dr Spurrier says that this weekend, everyone should work out what types of celebrations will be best for their families.

The social distancing rules of having a maximum of 10 people and keeping 1.5 metres away from each other still applies when visiting others.

However, Dr Spurrier also says that if you have relatives who are at risk with existing health conditions, to remain vigilant and careful.
