We may have had a wet and windy start to the new season, but the sun is set to come out this week, with fine Spring weather and sunny clear skies expected throughout.
Whilst we saw heavy rain and damaging winds of 100 km/hour in the first week of Spring, Adelaide is expected to reach a beautiful 29°C by Thursday, with the fine weather continuing into the weekend.
With today’s forecast of 22°C, the temperatures are set to increase daily, with Tuesday reaching 24°C with slight winds and a high of 27°C on Wednesday—perfect for a hump day frothy after work.
A spokesperson for the Bureau of Meteorology has said, ‘So there’s a week of fine weather coming up, or dry weather, I should say.’
Port Pirie and surrounding areas will experience the warmest temperatures in the state, reaching 31°C by Thursday, and the south of the state will hit 22°C in Robe and surrounding areas.
It’s a welcome change following the cold snap that included damaging winds and heavy rain South Australia experienced from last Thursday, with a total of 13.4 mm of rainfall recorded in Adelaide and heavier rain in the southeast regions of SA. This weather caused chaos in the last days of the Royal Adelaide Show and left many people across the state without power.
So, if you’re a warm-weather lover, get ready to enjoy a week of mild weather with sunny skies and minimal winds. Spring is officially in the air, and it’s officially time to say goodbye to Winter and get out and about to welcome the change of season.
