This Mother’s Day, Bec Morse and her daughter Grace Wakelin are bringing their podcast In the Genes to life in Adelaide for the first time, with a free live recording event at Myer Centre Adelaide.
The one-off morning will see the well-known Adelaide media personality and her daughter sit down in front of a live local audience for an honest, funny and heartfelt conversation about the relationship between mothers and daughters.
The event will be held on Level 2 of Myer Centre Adelaide from 10.30am, creating a fresh Mother’s Day outing for Adelaide women that goes beyond the usual brunch, flowers or last-minute gift run.
For Bec, who has long been a familiar voice and face in Adelaide through her work in radio and media, the event brings the podcast back to her home city in a new way. Alongside Grace, who is a creator in her own right, In the Genes has built a following through its candid, conversational take on family dynamics, inherited traits, shared humour and the moments that make mother-daughter relationships so complex and special.
The live show marks the first time In the Genes has been recorded in front of an audience in Adelaide, and the date is pretty fitting for the mother-daughter duo.
Guests will receive drinks from Pressed & Co and gifts from Clarins on arrival, with giveaways taking place throughout the morning. Prizes will include Myer vouchers, Clarins gift packs, spa facial treatments and more, adding a few extra surprises to the free event.
