SA Nurse Tests Positive For COVID-19

The RAH nurse, who is in her twenties, became mildly symptomatic late last week, with a positive test result returned yesterday.

SA Health has confirmed an intensive care unit nurse at the Royal Adelaide Hospital who has been working with COVID-19 patients has tested positive for the virus.

The nurse, who is in her twenties, became mildly symptomatic late last week, with a positive test result returned yesterday.

She is currently isolating at home as she recovers, with 23 close contacts to date having also been advised to self-isolate, including 22 RAH staff.

According to SA Health, there is not expected to be any resulting impact to patient care at the RAH, with sufficient staffing still available.
