SA restaurant secures 3rd place in Australia’s best restaurants list

Recently announced by Time Out, a South Australian restaurant has taken 3rd place in their list of ‘The 30 best restaurants in Australia right now’.

Arkhé, Adelaide’s first ever open-flame restaurant is still, even three years after opening, shaking up and leading the South Australian hospo scene from Norwood. Recently announced by Time Out, Arkhé has taken 3rd place in their list of ‘The 30 best restaurants in Australia right now’.

Since its opening in November 2021, Arkhé has distinguished itself as Adelaide’s premier open-flame restaurant. Its commitment to innovative culinary experiences has played a significant role in cementing South Australia’s reputation as a pivotal part of the nation’s food culture. 

Michelin-starred Chef, Jake Kellie, co-owner and executive chef of Arkhé, has a deep history and experience in food. Beginning his journey at 16, he has been around the world producing incredible food gaining mass recognition, the recipient San Pellegrino World Young Chef of the Year Award for Southeast Asia.

Arkhé is way more than a dictionary definition of a restaurant – it is theatre. It provides diners with a show where staff work harmoniously, dishes and drinks are skilfully presented, and with all this happening, the open flame dancing in the centre of stage – you take home a souvenir of incredible memories, that are only beaten by the next time you visit.

The recent collaboration with boutique beef producer Mayura Station has introduced specialised dry-aged meat to Norwood. This partnership has brought Mayura Station’s award-winning beef closer to Adelaideans to enjoy, giving us another exciting thing to experience.

Also in the top 10 best restaurant list is the notable Restaurant Botanic. A hyper-seasonal, native ingredient focused establishment Led by Executive Chef Jamie Musgrave, that puts major focus on the beautiful Botanic Garden that surrounds the space through their tasting menu, beverage offerings, and atmosphere.
