SA Streak Continues With Eight Days Of Zero New COVID-19 Cases

SA Premier Steven Marshall joined by the Chief Public Health Officer Professor Nicola Spurrier, announced yesterday that there has been no new COVID-19 cases, making it eight days in a row.

SA Premier Steven Marshall joined by the Chief Public Health Officer Professor Nicola Spurrier, announced yesterday that there has been no new COVID-19 cases, making it eight days in a row.

It also marked the end of the testing blitz, with Mr Marshall stating that there has been over 50,000 tests conducted in SA, a quarter of which taking place over the last fortnight.

Professor Spurrier also shared the positive news that the 68 year old man that has been in ICU, has also been discharged to the general ward.

There are currently three people in hospital, and the recovered rate stands at 96%.

Whilst the testing blitz has ended, anyone with respiratory symptoms or a fever are still encouraged to head to a clinic to be tested.

In addition to this, anyone experiencing acute loss of taste or smell are being encouraged to get tested for COVID-19 as the symptom criteria has officially expanded to include these symptoms.
