Adelaide’s very own indie-pop sister band Germein have just been announced as the opening act for the legendary Tom Jones.

The band announced their inclusion on the Welsh Crooner’s Ages & Stages Tour on social media this week. They will be the only Aussies in a sea of UK Acts with The Shires, Ward Thomas, Bethzienna and Chris Simmons all warming up the stage at his Leicester Show on July 15th

Fresh from their kick-off set at the AFL’s recent “Gather Round”, Germein are embarking on a UK Summer tour. Adding to the excitement of the Tom Jones Support announcement, they will also be opening for Sharon Corr from the hit Irish sensation The Corrs in Scotland.

With their soulful pop music combined with their down-to-earth personalities, the Adelaide sisters have been performing all over the globe. The three sisters- Georgia, Ella and Clara- love of music came from their parents. Getting their start jamming together on their family’s farm, they have come a long way from busking on the streets of their local town.

Curating their own sound and taking inspiration from their lived experiences as women in music, the group have been going from strength to strength. Their synergy as sisters has led to their musical prowess, enchanting audiences and earning the crown as the Most Popular Pop Artist at the SA Music Awards in 2019 and 2020.

Tom Jones has been an absolute force in the music industry for decades. Performing for multi-generational audiences, across many genres and earning a reputation unlike any other.

The What’s New Pussycat? and She’s a Lady is taking his Ages & Stages Tour across the US, Europe and the UK. The Leicester date being one of the most stacked shows, there will be a lot of new eyes and ears on Germein as they perform one of their biggest shows yet.
