An SA winery has beaten some of the most well-known wine regions in the world as they recently claimed the title of Winery of the Year at a prestigious competition.
Taylors Wines in Clare Valley, South Australia, was presented the prestigious title at this year’s Monterey International Wine Competition in California, USA.
This comes after Taylors Wines took the top spot at the 32nd annual MUNDUS VINI Grand International Wine Awards which was held in Germany this February.
The judging panel at the 30th Monterey International Wine Competition held in March this year had a panel of 18 US-based sommeliers, winemakers and wine media to judge the esteemed wine from all across the globe.
Our Australian wines were up against the incredible award-winning wines of countries like Italy and France, but ultimately the 2022 Jaraman Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley Chardonnay from Taylors Wines took gold.
This award-winning wine that recently won at the MUNDUS VINI Grand International Wine Awards retails for only $26 here in Australia, not only making it one of the cheapest among SA wines but now, the best.
Nestled in the Clare Valley and situated by the Wakefield River, Taylors Wines is a family-owned company operating both rurally and in urban settings for over 40 years.
