South Australia’s very own, Ali Oetjen will represent our state at the 2011 National Miss Tourism Australia final this week!

Miss Tourism Australia is an international competition to select an ambassador who will promote and contribute to the development of the tourism industry and strengthen the international knowledge of Australia as a destination for travelling, events and business to educate and help the growth of the tourism industry in Australia.

The crowned Miss Tourism Australia’s aim and objective is to excel the international and domestic marketing of Australia, and to increase the opportunities and demand for Australia to be a destination for leisure, business and travel.

Ali will fly over to Melbourne on the 6th of December where she will dive straight into rehearsals and choreography for the National final, which will be held on Wednesday December 7th at the Stanford Plaza.

The finalists will have to parade sportswear, cocktail wear, evening wear, and answer questions from the judges on stage.

The winner of Miss Tourism Australia will be flown to Kuala Lumpur to compete in the international final, which is held on New Year's Eve.

“I’m very excited! I love Australia and have travelled around most of it, so I’m very lucky and thrilled to be able to market it,” said Ali.

We have our fingers crossed for our very own Ali and would like to wish her all the best in the National final!
