Saddle Up For A New Kind Of Party At The Clare Easter Races

Same amazing racing fun, with a new twist…

This year’s O’Dea Electrical Clare Easter Races, held on Saturday March 26, won’t end when the racing stops…

An inaugural after-race concert will keep the party going and keep racegoers entertained! With Adelaide-based DJs Rmac, AJ, Dylan Barke and MC NRK (aka Captain Kirk) playing club, radio and retro tunes as the sun sets over one of the State’s most picturesque racecourses, it will be a day to remember!

Fashion again takes centre stage at the Easter Saturday event – with Clare hosting a Fashion at The Races qualifying final. Sponsored by Taylors Wine, the Clare leg of the statewide style search promises to attract fashionistas in chic autumn outfits from far and wide.

Easter is a time for families to come together – and the Clare Racecourse has something to offer all ages. The carnival-like atmosphere includes a designated Kids Zone, where a $5 ticket gets youngsters access to three jumping castles, face painting and fairy floss.

Clare Racing Club Chairman Gerald Mulligan said the Easter Races gives visitors the chance to combine racing with other local attractions over a four-day break. Music lovers should keep the Clare Valley top of their Easter wish list, with music and camping festival Blenheimfest being held on Good Friday.

“It’s a great excuse for people to make the trip to Clare for the long weekend, take in the beautiful scenery, enjoy top-notch food and wine and attend a ripping day at the races,” Mr Mulligan said.

Shuttle buses will run to and from the racecourse to the Taminga Hotel in Clare on the day.

Tickets are $5 return. General admission tickets are $20 and those aged under 18 receive free entry. Early bird tickets for $15 are available up until Good Friday and gates open at 11am.
