Renowned Riverland winery, Salena Estate has unveiled a myriad of events they will be hosting this October. From long lunches to wine tasting masterclasses, what more could you want?

Located a mere three hours out of Adelaide, Salena Estate is an ideal South Australian destination for you to discover. The winery is one of the top 20 largest wine producers in Australia, employing a minimal intervention process to keep their wines in their most natural state as possible.

Saturday 2 October

Kicking off the October long weekend, Salena Estate will be hosting a decadent long lunch at the estate’s restaurant, Cucina 837. Priced at $80 per person, you’ll enjoy four courses of beautifully crafted food designed by head chef Vincenzo Gallo and Salena Estate’s owner Bob Franchitto. Turn your lunch up a notch by purchasing the recommended wine pairing for each meal for $50.

Long lunches ain’t your thing? There will be some Italian street food for you to enjoy on the grounds while you chill out and soak up the spring sunshine.

Sunday 3 October

The reason why we love long weekends? Because you get to relax on a Sunday knowing you don’t have to go to work the next day. Salena Estate is helping you unwind by hosting a day full of live music, Italian street food and great wine. From 11am ’til 5pm drinks will be flowing and the music will booming. Stay for the whole day and continue the fun by booking a table in at the estate’s restaurant, Cucina 837 for dinner.

Monday 4 October

Ease out of your long weekend of indulgence by enjoying a splendid lunch at Salena Estate’s restaurant, Cucina 838. Lunch service will be happening from 11am ’til 3pm with their spring menu on show.

Friday 16 October

Start your Riverland Wine and Food Festival off right with drinks under the stars at Salena Estate. Choose from their large selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails from 5pm onwards. Bookings are recommended to get a good spot on the grass. If you need something more substantial book a table at Cucina 837 for a Riverland Italian feast to remember.

Saturday 17 October

The main event! Join Salena Estate and enjoy Italian street food all day and the soulful sounds of live music as part of the Riverland Wine and Food Festival. On the day you will be able to choose from a large selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails to tantalise your tastebuds.

Cheese and wine fans? For $35.00 per person enjoy a guided tasting of Salena Estate’s new release wine guided by the winery’s namesake Salena Franchitto. Happening from 11am, take your tastebuds on an indulgent journey of wine with deliciously paired cheeses.
