Last year, a new phenomenon hit the shores of Henley Beach that saw droves of people flock to the beachside suburb with the number of attendees growing each week.
Salty Sips took over Adelaide with its weekly, early morning swims becoming the talk of the town and creating a thriving community of like-minded individuals all taking the plunge into the cold waters of Henley as the sun came up to reap the physical and social benefits.
At its peak, Salty Sips was seeing over 450 participants showing up each week and so it was no surprise that hearts were broken when organisers announced late last year that the sessions were going to be paused indefinitely.
Due to reasons beyond their control, founders Nikita Trewartha and Lily Bigg announced to their social media community of nearly 15,000 people that Salty Sips was no more but last night they returned with the news that everyone has been waiting for: Salty Sips is back!
Kicking off again next Wednesday June 15th, Nikita, Lily and their loyal following will be heading back to Henley Beach for a sunrise swim and they would love for you to join them!
Yes it’s cold and yes it could most likely be raining but hey, that’s half the point. Pushing yourself past your comfort zone and starting your day in the best possible way.
