Santa set to deliver a hotter Christmas Day than predicted

The Bureau of Meterology has issued its forecast for our Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations and its looking perfect.

It’s official …. Santa is gifting us the one thing we’ve all been hoping for – clear skies and glorious sunshine.

The Bureau of Meteorology says Adelaide can expect a sunny Christmas Day with a sun-filled 30 degrees with light to moderate winds.

That mean’s Santa, his sleigh and reindeer will all arrive on time and have a smooth landing into South Australia and deliver all his presents on time.

In fact, the entire state can expect a warm Christmas, with a possible shower in the far north-east. And according to the Bureau, the warmer weather is expected to stick around beyond Boxing Day.

This is great news for Christmas Day parties and Boxing Day revellery. Think beach cricket, crayfish, salty air, endless beach sunsets with tops above 30 degrees.

For the rest of the country, Sydney will be mostly sunny with a maximum of 28C and light winds later in the day. Canberra will be warm to hot and sunny with a maximum of 30C with light to moderate winds.

Melbourne will be sunny with a maximum of 27C with light to moderate winds. Perth will be sunny with a maximum of 31C with some light winds in the afternoon.

Darwin can expect showers with a possible storm and a maximum of 33C. Brisbane will be partly cloudy with a maximum of 31C and Hobart will be partly cloudy with possible late showers and light to moderate winds with a maximum of 21C.

So overall, get your decorations out, dress up your tables and fire up the barbie across South Australia and enjoy the down time with your family and friends.
