Santos Tour Down Under – Meet Lance Armstrong during his farewell race
Cycling enthusiasts have the chance of a lifetime to meet seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong during his farewell ride at the Santos Tour Down Under, in Adelaide from 16-23 January, 2011.
Premier Mike Rann has announced that all entrants in this year’s Mutual Community Challenge Tour presented by The Advertiser, will now go in to a draw to win two tickets to the Legends’ Night Dinner, held on Saturday, 22 January 2011 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The prize will include a meet and greet with the sporting great and the opportunity to sit with a cycling star at the Legends’ Night Dinner. Two runners up will receive signed Lance Armstrong jerseys.
“This is an amazing opportunity for fans to be part of the celebrations for what will be cycling legend Lance Armstrongs last professional race on international soil,” Mr Rann said.
Lance Armstrong who launched his comeback to professional cycling at the 2009 Santos Tour Down Under will conclude his last professional race in South Australia.
