Animal Therapeutics Online, provides high performance products to the professional equestrian and racing communities in Australia and New Zealand with clients including Olympic gold medallists and international champions.

In the past year the business has made its mark on the equine industry throughout Australia and New Zealand, building a community of the best teams in the industry with a strong online presence.

In 2013 the business undertook a revolutionary pivot, removing agents and bringing services in-house in a move not seen before in the industry. This enabled innovation of the business model and a move to focus on its community of high achieving clients.

The business was set up in 2008 by South Australian serial entrepreneur Jo Schneider, who was just 24yrs at the time. Schneider worked for GM Holden in Adelaide as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer when she decided to take voluntary redundancy and use her package as capital investment to set up her first company, Animal Therapeutics Online. Since then, she has added two more companies to her portfolio and has staff working around Australia and internationally.

Telstra Business Group Managing Director, Will Irving, said the breadth and calibre of the 19 South Australian Awards finalists was a positive sign for the state’s economy.

Schneider says, “I’ve always had big visions for this company and after making such a risky business model change recently, it’s nice to see the success recognised in both our own community and by experienced judges. From gaining national media coverage to being honoured as a finalist, the team and I are ecstatic!”
