Collab for a Cause will be returning this year to the Adelaide Hills to raise awareness and funds for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation. The event will be hosted by the award winning Lot 100 and give guests a fun night filled with food, entertainment, and all the best beverages the hills has to offer while collecting funds for children and families in need.
Guests will be treated to pre-dinner drinks and canapes in the beautiful Cellar Door before a 5 course meal served in the venue’s courtyard marquee. There will also be live entertainment throughout the night and items up for bidding at live and silent auctions.
Five guest chefs have been confirmed for this years event, with Lauren Eldridge returning to provide another delicious dessert after her hit 2022 Collab for a Cause dish. Darren Robertson of Three Blue Ducks will be making the trip from NSW to join the line up after appearing alongside Lot 100 at multiple Tasting Australia events, while a trio of renowned locals, Fabian Lehmann from Maxwell Wines, Laura Sharrad from Fugazzi and Nido, Sam Christopher from 2KW, are all joining Lot 100 for the first time.

The event was created by Lot 100’s executive chef Shannon Flemming and his wife Nicole after a personal experience with the Women’s and Children’s Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit. After the birth of their twin daughters they spent nearly 100 days in the unit while their children received care, and sadly, one daughter passed away. Shannon says that even through the worst of times, they were able to create some memories thanks to the wonderful staff.
Ever since, Shannon has worked hard to use his platform in hospitality to continue raising much needed funds for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Collab for a Cause was last held in 2022 when over $70,000 was raised. The funds went towards purchasing a micro-preemie simulation doll, which is used in the training of nursing staff, and two monitoring systems which allow for monitoring of infants without needing to enter the room and risk infection.
After the success of previous years, this year the event is aiming to raise $100,000 and 100% of the proceeds from the night, including all beverage sales, will be donated to the foundation.
