Crafers Bakehouse has been crowned with first prize for their white loaf at the Baking Association of Australia’s (BAA) South Australian Baking Show. The Adelaide Hills bakehouse also secured second place for their rye sourdough loaf.
The small town bakehouse only opened eight months ago, and has already built a large name for themselves. The bakehouse not only make delicious bread, they support local by only using local produce to create all their delectable baked goods.
“We’re very heavily focused on supporting local. We’re Brand SA ambassadors, so we’ll be using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients for all of our pies, pastries, and bread,” Sarah says.
“Tristan has been baking for over 20 years, and he’ll be in there every day baking fresh goods on-site. He’s the heart and soul of the business and very passionate about it.”

Tristan’s twenty years of experience has allowed him to refine his craft to produce some truly brilliant bakery items, which has been beautifully reflected in his recent wins.
