Shimmering Pines Farm’s 2022 South Australia Sunflower Festival will take place from December 17-24 and is expected to sell out through pre-sale access alone.
The festival is held in Tarlee, which is considered the gateway to Clare Valley and offers tourists an exciting chance to check out the lesser-known locale.
Visitors can expect three acres of bright yellow blossoming sunflowers, with the chance to get some stellar snaps from photographers.
The sunflower markets will be open over the weekend and ending on December 18, with pick-your-own sunflowers starting Wednesday.
Mini-photoshoots will be provided by Jess from Jesses Photography and Jarred Walker Photography.
The sunflower-filled days are the perfect opportunity to make the most of the warm December weather and enjoy the sunset alongside live music and delectable food.
The 2021 festival was a hit with couples and families, which has naturally increased the anticipation for a newfound annual tradition.
Despite initial delays due to blooming conditions, the immense public response to the announcement on Facebook is telling for turnout.
Kids activities such as face painting, watercolour painting and flower picking will be returning due to their popularity from the former flower festival.
Shimmering Pines have advised that attendees must wear appropriate footwear and clothing to stay safe in the farm and fields.
Tickets for attendees over the age of 15 cost $15, whereas kids aged 5-14 will be $5 a ticket, with those under the age of 5 granted free admission.
In 2021, Shimmering Pines sold 2,000 tickets, with high hopes of a holiday flurry from South Australia to break new records.
