Loved by thousands across the country, this musical is set to captivate Adelaide when they bring to life the incredible true story of 7000 air passengers who became grounded in Gander, Newfoundland during the wake of September 11.
South Australian born and bred actor Phillip Lowe and musician Tim Hartwig are set to impress attendees with their powerful performance, as Phillip showcases his incredible range as an actor and singer and Tim with his virtuosic skills on the electric, acoustic and nylon guitars.
Adjoining the pair are an outstanding ensemble of musicians, actors and dancers who add that extra layer of excitement to this production.
Melbourne were the first to experience this world class production, taking the city by storm when the musical premiered in July 2019, where it it went on to break box office records to become the most successful production in the Comedy Theatre’s 94-year history.
Since opening in Sydney in June 2021 and then returning in November 2022, the production continued
garnering rapturous reviews and accolades from audiences and went on to break box office records in
both Canberra and Newcastle.

Based on the incredible real-life events in the wake of the September 11, the musical is set in Gander, Newfoundland where 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 people from over 100 countries were redirected during this traumatic event.

Award-winning writers David Hein and Irene Sankoff travelled to Newfoundland and interviewed
thousands of locals, turning their stories into an inspiring musical to share with the world.
Come From Away is renowned by critics from Australian newspaper The Age and has won the Tony Award for Best Direction Of A Musical (Christopher Ashley) and for Olivier Awards including Best New Musical, Best Theatre Choreographer (Kelly Devine), Best Sound Design (Gareth Owen) and Outstanding Achievement in Music.
