It comes as no surprise that one of South Australia’s own has won gold in two categories in the esteemed New York World Wine and Spirits Competition. Taylors Wines was awarded the titles of Best Cabernet Sauvignon for their St. Andrews’ 2018 vintage and Best Shiraz for their Wakefield Shiraz 2019 vintage.
The 2021 competition held at Leyenda from August 30th to September 3rd, featured spirits and wine entries from all over the world, and – in its nine-year history – has established itself as one of the most respected events in the Eastern U.S.A.
The judges hail predominantly from New York and are among the industry’s most respected authorities. To win a medal is a testament to a company’s hard work and a universally acknowledged indicator of exceptional quality and craftsmanship – which makes this South Australian victory all the more amazing!
