Adelaide’s very best local businesses have been officially named at the 2025 Greater Adelaide Local Business Awards. These awards celebrate the beating heart of our local community, recognising everyone from barbers, bakers, florists, cafes, and creators who make everyday life that little bit easier.

Every year, the awards shine a spotlight on excellence across industries, from health and hospitality to retail and real estate. What makes these awards extra special is that the community has its say, giving customers the chance to nominate the businesses they love most, with finalists selected based on the number of public votes received.

Judging is a fair and thorough process, with each finalist assessed against specific criteria, including their submitted information and online presence. From there, the best of the best are chosen and celebrated at a glamorous Gala Presentation Evening. This is a night that’s become one of the biggest events on the local business calendar. Finalists, partners and local dignitaries come together for a well-deserved evening that celebrates their hard work.

This year’s winners represent the best of Greater Adelaide, from family-run institutions to boutique newcomers making waves. Among the standouts were Banana Boogie Bakery, crowned Best Bakery/Cake Business, and Cherry Specialty Coffee, which took home the title of Best Café. Le Pas Sage impressed as the top Restaurant, while Kabuki Hairdresser and Beauty on O’Connell claimed wins in the Hair and Beauty categories. Bell & Brunt Jewellers continued their legacy as one of Adelaide’s most respected jewellery stores, while East End Flower Market bloomed once again as the go-to local florist.

As for the service sector, Platinum Services SA and Powerstaff Consulting were recognised for their expertise and professionalism, and Simplify Your Tech earned the title of Best Sole Operator. Blackbird Fitness took home the Fitness Services Award, while Pets Health Hilton Vet Centre was recognised in the Pet Care category.

Local favourites like Hahndorf Fruit & Veg Market, The Local Meat Glenelg, and Thorn-Clarke Wines rounded out the list, really highlighting the diversity of Adelaide’s small business scene.

This year’s Greater Adelaide Local Business Awards celebrated passion, resilience, and the power of community connection. So whether you’re grabbing a loaf from Banana Boogie, getting your hair done at Kabuki, or enjoying coffee at Cherry Specialty, this year’s winners confirm that supporting local never goes out of style.
